A chronicle disease whose effects attemps against life because an excessive fat accumulation involving several areas:

  • Medical.
  • Psychological.
  • Social.
  • Economical.
 
MORBID OBESITY

Overweight capable to cause diseases and associated health problems, endangering patient's life and able to affect their quality of life.

At present this problem is considered Health Epidemic Disease of the 21st Century and since 2004 obesity surpass to undernourishment at world-wide level for the first time. This disease is associated with many health problems and resulting complications; within the diseases is wherein that obesity triggers or plays an important role on their development among others are:

  • Cardiovascular (hypertension, arteriosclerosis, varicose veins, cardiac failure).
  • Pulmonary (Breathing problems, drowsiness, sleep apnea, bronchitis, asthma).
  • Digestive (Gallbladder stones, cirrhosis, colon cancer).
  • Bone and Muscles (Hips, joints, knees and spine problems).
  • Endocrine-Metabolic (Diabetes, high cholesterol, menstrual disturbances, impotence, infertility).
  • Dermatologic (Fungi and bacterial infections, skin fold injury).
  • Psychological (Depression, Anxiety, Phobic disorders among others).
